new problem - disconnects. anyone else?

Over the last week or so I keep getting disconnected. It has probably happened a couple of times a day. They are so short that I can not tell if ti's Comcast or Steam. By the time I am kicked back to the main menu I can usually start an online game again. I run a telnet program sumultaneously and that does not disconnect usually, but it has once or twice, obviously on my end.
So I am checking to see if others have found this to be a problem recently when they never have had serious problems before. Trying to diagnose if its my isp, my modem, or other.

I have this from time to time too (once a few months). I always did the Check game files option on steam which fixed it(2 files not found). So maybe it helps doing this.

I've had this often recently, and it's Steam not Trendy I believe.

Thanks I'll give this a try and cross my fingers. I am reluctant to even try playing after a couple of crushing disconnects.

This often happens to me right after i have spent a long time building.. But i have bad internet though.

I've been DC'ing a good 3-5 times a day and its VERY aggravating stupid steam... (was on wave 25 HC NM MM GRRR!)

This is out of the ordinary for me. Usually Steam is very solid. However, this week has been pretty bad with the disconnects.

Still managed my Transcendent Survivalist Achievement this week in spite of them.
