No games found in ranked? Did everyone stop playing or is it something on my end?

I've tried searching around for a solution to this but haven't come up with anything. It's simple enough: I
search for games, nothing gets found. Not even shops. When I make games occasionally people will join
saying my game was the only one they could see. Is it an update problem?

I just got this game during the Summer Sale and it's still fun so this is bumming me out. Any help
appreciated.

Did you update to the current patch? One just came out about an hour ago.

Generally this is because you haven't patched yet.

Aha, that is the problem! I'm stuck at 7.39 C. Does anyone know how I can force the update? I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but to no avail.

Figured it out. I'll leave the details for anyone with the same problem. I'm not entirely sure how necessary the
first step is but hey, it works so whatever.

1. Right click Dungeon Defenders in your library. Go to properties, local files and verify your cache. Mine showed up that 2 files needed to be reacquired, but it wouldn't automatically go reacquire them.

2. Completely close out of Steam.

3. Relaunch Steam. You should have to re-login. At this point, I could finally see my Dungeon Defenders
updating.
