    Aqaunos Boss

Can't think of a better title for this but.

I just tried Nightmare Kraken for the first time. It didn't go well, had no trouble getting to him, but he pretty much 1 shot my DPS. 268k health, 90% physical resist, 70% everything else, and his spines that he throws were doing 15-16k damage a piece, His spin attack he did shortly there after ended up doing about 40-50k (wasn't sure cause i died right afterwords) My question is, what am i doing SOOO wrong that i can't even drop him 1 point of life and he totally owns me?

It's a common first time experience.

The Kraken can't be damaged until you kill its tentacles, which are best done it a good dps pet. I heard minions are effective also. You'll want a buffed healing aura and just keep taking the melee hits. Useful skills for boosting pet damage including hero boost and blood rage. Squire block (w/ a 100% block weapon) is good for keeping alive. I've seen a lot of people go in with a barb, find that the barb skills are generally useless against the boss, and die without dealing any damage.

Figures, i used a barb like a moron... lmao. Guess i should level up my monk or something, I have a countess leveled up might use her instead since shes high level. Thanks.

Also, keep moving during the fight. Strafing round him is normally enough to avoid the melee swing, and his KO missile (Dark ball thing) is really slow turning.

He is much easier in a group. He keeps switching targets and letting you get away
Getting fed up with people whining about and judging something they have no knowledge of

Using a squire / countess to block is a fairly easy way to fight him up until the part where he'll randomly bug and begin spewing out his gas cloud non stop. Gas cloud can't be blocked and will slowly whittle away at you until you die. =(

My buddy and I could clear the waves easily yet it took us quite a while before we got smat enough (with thelp from here) to kill him.
I was on the squire blocking with a seahorse on.(I almost soloed him this way too), and my buddy was on a monk usign hero boost and Djinnlet. We put down a lot of archer and mage minions in the area we fought him in so that he would stay aggro on them if we died, and we each died a couple of times, so those minions really helped keep him in place.
    Good luck!

Trick to beating him, is setting up the aura stack in a safe place to fight him.

Ensnare/Healing/Strength Drain/Electric then buff those with a buff beam. Make sure all of them are 5 stars by the time you fight him.

When you fight inside of this, he hits for less, and you heal quick. He also seems to hit slower. The electric is for those other enemies who decide to join you and give you mana

And as someone has said above... Use a good dps pet, preferably a seahorse or monkey.

Alternate Tower/Hero boost before it gets expensive and wastes your mana. Doing this properly will give you plenty of time to kill kraken.

    Goodluck, he is not impossible

100%block+mage minions under a healing (and SD... though isnt needed) aura is pretty safe
but a monk+seahorse under SD+healing is alot quicker... if you dont die
