Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
we are the beta tester team, lol
for me TE will try no make more games for consoles, cuz they lost alot of money whit patches and those things
Yeah however if they are barely managing to gather enough money to submit these patches/updates, I doubt they are able to afford conducting a beta. Let's not forget here that they are in no way a huge company.
In case you are wondering, here's an article about betas.
Yeah, without a doubt, there has to be in-house testing. Otherwise they're just shooting in the dark & hoping that their updates/dlc will work on the 1st release to M$ or $ony. Obviously there's no way they could afford to release potential patches at the cost of $10,000 a pop.
Yeah I suppose, however until someone actually confirms that developers are allowed to test all their stuff on the actual console, then things are still going to be lost in transition, patches will still be needed and some of those patches may even screw something else up. Not trying to justify them, but well if there was a way to release fail-proof content, then the definition of patching would only include injuries and physically broken stuff.
No one releases fail proof content.
Mistymire running along certain parts of a walls and ending up in trees or off maps is an example of mistakes that any company might overlook, mana issues are unforeseen things any company no matter how big might miss. But being unable to complete a level. Being unable to even fire a weapon.
Being unable to play with more than half the amount of allowable characters.
Experience on an entire DLC being broken.
Those are Blatant!
And Inhouse testing is a confirmed fact.
Really do you honestly believe that TE hasn't done anything for you?
Realize that most small developer studios would have played it safe and stayed with the platform (PC) that was already making loads of profit. The venture into the console market i am sure was quite expensive upfront.
Without the support of TE & Classic & Event Cordinators - There would be no events or event prizes.
Without the continued support from TE & fans you would have gotten the original game without no additional DLCS nor a forum to even voice your opionion in.
And without the Patchs/DLCs - you would have maxed at lv.70 characters / 20 ^ armor / 27 ^ weapons.
As I look around my surroundings - I try to find any item in my household that costs $15 and offers me this my enjoyment.
DVD's nope, CD's nope, Other PC software nope, and many many games which i have paid much much more for in past.
