Trans Survivalist question.

Okay, so, going to go for Trans Survivalist, and was wondering, if I do it on Pure Strategy, if it will count. Because I also need the "Defense is the best offense" achievement, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone.

You can do NMHC Pure Strategy.

Oh, didn't realize that. Well, darn, there went that idea. Thanks for the help then.

Wait, read the achievement description, it says only Nightmare, nothing about HC.

Sorry haven't tested it on pure strategy but I'm guessing no. It says in the achievement description:"You achieved Nightmare Survival Victory on every Campaign mission, and are thus rewarded". And pure strategy is not the same as survival. Does not need to be hardcore enabled.

As for the "Defence is the best offensive" achievement, I think I did that on hard/insane. Just to get it over with as fast as possible.

I have this achievement and HC was NOT needed.

Have fun with those copters! I got lucky and did it with my bro and a friend PRE nit wit fly boys.

They can be a real pain at times.

I would suggest looking up the most current builds if you encounter any problems with your progression on the achievement.

I highly doubt that Pure Strategy unlocks it, but even then there's no point. You'll get substantially higher XP, mana, and loot quality from Survival thanks to Hardcore toggling. Plus you can DPS. You can unlock Defense is the Best Offense in absolutely no time, by itself, so coupling them won't help. Just play on a lower difficulty, start on wave eight, and clear the first two waves. Once you hit wave ten, just sell everything and die on purpose.
