Struggling for gear

Hey everyone i got two characters to level 71 a barb and squire. I've been playing with a friend also with app and monk and at level 71 it seems there is a huge xp gap now and i've heard insane glitter is good to farm but it just seems to difficult and i think it could be my gear. So heres my hero stats http://i.imgur.com/o8eGB.jpg i think i have good gear but if i don't where can i get better to be able to do insane survivals or glitter because at the moment it is very difficult (i'm guessing my gear is bad but where can i upgrade? or maybe doing builds wrong on the maps) i've checked out guides for glitter,etc but the ogres have so much health for me to handle with my low dps while all guides i see their characters have much higher stats. Any help appreciated.

What DLC do you have?

Go to hard glitter HC (always have HC on. Increase in stats is rather large)

Pick up every item that has all 4 tower stats.
Repeat a few times.

Once you have a few pages of loot, look through it and try to maximise tower stats within one type of armour (ie. leather/pristine/chain...)
Having all 4 armour pieces the same type gives a 25% stat bonus.

Secondly, Respec your hero (tavernkeep -> services) and put every point into tower damage, and then rate of fire. What you are doing is maximising the damage your towers can do.

Doing these things will give you a bit of XP (hard glitter is quite reasonable), and much better stats which will make insane much more doable.
