Halloween Spooktacular mini ogre attack range

I was just playing Halloween Spooktacular and I have noticed several mini ogres playing their attack animation out of their actual physical attack range.

I assume this effects any other mini ogres etc as they don't know their attack range got smaller with the scaled down version of this mob.

Just did some testing here and the mini ogres were attacking just fine. Was there a particular spot and what defense were they trying to attack?
