Page 1 Posts Should Not Be "Necro"

Thanks for continuing to support this great game, I have one complaint about how the forums are managed.

First page posts should not be considered a necro post. I noticed that the Series EV forum is particularly dead compared to other forums on here. I don't know if that's because no one has any new or valid strategies or what, but it's rather disappointing to see that a post that provided valid, relevant information to be locked because someone joined the discussion late.

This is not to say I support necro-posting because I don't, but if I see a thread on the first page my first instinct is to assume it's still active. There is a difference between posting in a thread that is 2 years old and on the 50th page versus 2 months old still sitting on the first page. Furthermore, by discouraging people to post on active posts like this, people who use the search function to find old threads may be mislead by inaccurate information that never was corrected going forward.

In my opinion if a thread is sitting on the first page after 2 months, that is an issue with how the forums are setup and should be a sign that they need to be reassessed in their effectiveness and possible consolidation of forum topics.

These forums aren't as active as others are. So I have to agree, why in the world would a thread on the front page be considered necroing? Should we not be encouraging people to be posting on threads that are relevant to them?

Agreed, the whole necro situation is mind boggling.

"Please don't post in this topic that's already created."

I do see one point though, and that's that patches have happened so what he is complaining about may not be what you're complaining about, even if they're both about apprentice damage for example.
