    Option to hide Accessories

As much as I love the bonuses afforded to me by the various accessories in the game, some of the better ones happen to look quite ridiculous. An option to hide these accessories in order to better enjoy our magnificent costumes would be very, very welcome.

I don't know how difficult to implement this would be, but I can't imagine it would be too hard.

This suggestion has been asked for before.

There was a lot of debate on either side, and to sum it up I think it didn't really go anywhere.

My personal opinion is that you shouldn't be able to hide them. Their main purpose is for looks, and consequently I have several characters I don't use certain accessories on.

The main argument against this is fairly simple - Accessories rarely have high enough stats to make much of a difference in the first place, so if you don't want to see them, don't wear them.

I agree that you shouldn't be able to hide them. It just makes it all the more valuable/fun when you do find one that actually looks cool and has decent stats.

Not saying that this is a highly important addition, but I feel it would certainly improve the game in some way. As for the stats issue, accessories do sometimes have decent stats, enough to push your stats over certain numbers, if you farm hard enough.

If the accessories were there only for their image, then they would not have been given stats in the first place. However the accessories do have stats and if you are lucky, can actually end up giving a good deal of stats to a somewhat limited allotment of how high a certain stat can go.

Ultimate set maxes at 600 each, 600 for the weapon, and 600 for the pet, Full armor set totals up to 2400 max, then plus the armor set boost of 40%, it can reach and extra 240 points per item, totaling for 960 extra stats. This adds up to an overall max of 4,560 points from your item set in one stat. This is assuming that there are enough upgrades to get that single stat that high.

Accessories allow you to increase this number as well as distribute points into places where your armor/weapon's lack of upgrade points may have fallen short. Believe it or not, but accessories can indeed make a difference. See this link where a Mythic Accessory was auctioned, (http://forums.trendyent.com/showthre...CHECK-Myth-Acc)

With an average of 40 points in three areas, and 40 upgrades, this single accessory offers the addition of quite a few points. Taking into account that there are four accessory types, this translates into ~ 160 points + 160 upgrades which have been ignored.

With this in mind, I would argue that accessories can have a visible impact on the performance of a character, especially if equipped at a low enough level that those stats really makes a large difference. That in mind, I see no reason why it could or would be negative to not allow accessories to be hidden. I do however see a negative result from not wearing them in the first place.

When you step back and look at things in a whole though, if you're already sitting with gear with stats maxing at 600 then that 160 possible points won't make much of a difference between 4560 and 4720... on any NMHC map you'd already be mowing down any enemies.

As others have said, accessories are just that... accessories. They're mainly for looks, they offer a small stat bonus as an incentive... but their main purpose is looks. If you don't like the looks of them, take them off, or find ones you do like.

They were only there for image. TE decided to just throw some stats on them to be nice.

Uh, I've seen some mythical accessories that can have 20 to (I think) 50 points on them. A shield, a brooch, bracers, and a mask adding 200 points to a given stat is not insignificant.

I love the fact that I am constantly seeking for new accessories because they show and I can't hide them. Imagine if leather armor showed... everyone would be trying to get a full set of pristine gear.

No, its not insignificant, but neither is it a huge boost either. Accessories were added for looks, stats were added on them because Trendy felt nice. If they didn't have stats then half the people wouldn't care about them. Those of us who get into a game and want a character to look how we want, who the accessories were meant for, will hunt down accessories that match, not for stats.

If you don't like them showing, then don't wear them! It's as simple as that. They added accessories because of the fact that armor doesn't show! They wanted to give players an option to customize characters more personally instead of just using skins.
