    Legendary Knight (Squire) vs. Countess

So my basic understanding is that the Squire can slightly out DPS the Countess, but the Countess can build a little better. If that's not true, feel free to correct me.

My question is: Is there a difference between the Squire and his Legendary Knight costume/skin? I know he moves A LOT slower, but I heard it rumored that his HP and damage are higher than the Squire. Does my new Knight costume make my Countess obsolete? Both of them are now lvl 77, and both are Tower specced.

Reason female chars are favoured builders is the extra speed/cast rate which is immensly useful for building under timer. Defenses are exactly the same no matter which character/skin you use.
Getting fed up with people whining about and judging something they have no knowledge of

    squire for DPS
    countess for building

even slower squire (legendary) = very bad for building
higher health squire (legendary) = more survivability (although it comes at the cost of maneuverability - can be remedied to an extent with bloodrage speed boost)

tl;dr your countess is a better builder (although the speed isnt really needed in surv)

it does... but i only see that being useful for boss fights, other maps have players spread around (and even in boss fights countess is melee, monk being the primary damage dealer already has a damage boost that doesnt stack with CTA and has a ranged attack allowing him to buff ranged or melee allies

... team damage reduction may be useful, but id still rather take squire/barb over countess for DPS

Countess' Call to Arms ability caps at 2.5x for the damage boost, but gives you a fairly ridiculous resistance bonus. Expect to be taking almost 75% less damage even with mediocre gear, which combined with good armor resistances makes you pretty much unkillable for most purposes (PvP opponents I've been up against will agree). So you are dealing out much less raw DPS than a Squire equivalent, but will tank much better - that, coupled with her superior speed, made a DPS Countess immensely fun to play for me as a beginning player. However, don't expect to be killing ogres quickly in late survival waves due to your lack of DPS.

Theoretically, it is possible for a Countess to match or even surpass the Squire in DPS output - using the Joust ability while wielding a hammer (the strongest per-hit damage weapon available to her). However, I have found myself rarely using that skill in actual gameplay due to the animations leaving you highly vulnerable at the beginning and - more importantly - at the end of the attack (at which point you will usually be inside a crowd). A removal of the wind-up animation and a drastic speed-up of the wind-down animation would make it a far more viable combat option in my opinion (hint).

On the other hand, on certain maps that feature death falls, the ability to push back ogres while Jousting makes it possible to instantly kill them by knocking them off the map, even with no investment in DPS stats at all. It might be even more useful now that copters may result in ogres appearing in inconvenient locations.

All of the parents move slower than their children, but have a bigger HP pool. Only the super legendary costumes make them do more damage. Your countess is still gonna be your go-to character when it comes to building. On the big maps, your papa squire is gonna be far too slow.

In light of this, at some point I'm probably gonna turn my squire into a DPS squire.

I have found the Joust ability to be very useful on the Sky City map!

There is no difference in how male vs female characters build- none whatsoever. The only meaningful difference is their health ramps, base movement speed and special abilities. There is a slight difference in DPS with certain skins because the animations are different, however the hero damage dealt per swing was adjusted so that they are basically equal.
