Hello new player here!

Hello, and where has this game been all my life! Really fun, addictive game play. I Must say, out of all the games I bought during This years "Steams summer sale", this one by far was the cheapest and funnest of them all.

Any-who, I've been reading some guides and the wiki, etc on the game. I'm trying to learn and gleam some more info.

but, I have a couple of questions I can't seem to find any info on;

First off, I can't seem to beat the 2nd map even on easy? is this the norm? my guys are lvl 7 huntress and lvl 5 mage.

Second, i bought the other, DLC hero's, the 4 pack female versions, i was thinking should I lvl 1 sex tower stats and the other sex melee stats?

P.S. Any tips or guides for new players, and leveling up would be great, what kind of gear should i .be looking out for ETC

When you're starting out, I would focus on keeping your mage out and levelling him up a bit. If you're putting all points on hero instead of tower, that's probably why you're losing. If you're ever unsure of where to build, build as close to the crystal as you can. Also, when you build towers then switch to a character who didn't build them, they get a debuff to their damage by 33%.

You can make a tower hero and a dps hero of each, although this early in the game it's by no means necesarry, regardless just make sure you have your builders be female (excluding Apprentice because his overcharge skill is vastly superior to instant upgrade, and apprentice is fast enough as is anyways) and your dps heroes be male. The reason for this is females move faster and cast faster, whereas the males do more damage and have more health. With that in mind I would recommend switching your Huntress to a Ranger.

A final tip about Apprentice, don't put points in casting rate, put points in Overcharge instead. More bang for your buck. Hope that helps.

First off welcome to the most addicting game I've ever played! Secondly, the game has a really really really steep learning curve so at the beginning it is extremely hard. However, once you unlock all of your heroes towers (about lvl 15 or something) you will be able to tackle the levels much easier than at the beginning.

Wow, that's a first. I've been playing ever since the Christmas Sale with no problems, but it's down for me as well. Usually it's Steam that causes this but Steam is working fine here.

Also no problem, if you need more help don't hesitate to ask!

Ya, stick with Apprentice for starting and build up for towers. But most people in late game use females for building and male's for DPS because Male's have more HP and females run faster, because on insane/nightmare you have a time limit to build.

What they all said also, a few things on my own perspective:

Invest in tower range. It will make tour life a lot easier early on and untill you unlock all the towers.
Ranger/hunter low lvl can be a chore. Try dpsing with a squire for a while.

Well ill be happily to show you the ropes around the maps, point allocation ( its really simple, really. Its just complicated at start).etc

I normally boost people around all day, but theres something fluffy and cute about a really new player. >_>...

I would say I would love to help you too, but I don't want to ruin the accomplishments of that first green ogre kill (foundries and forges), beating the first boss, equipping my first full set of godly armor that I farmed myself I helped one of my buddies through the first part of the game and he didn't play the game for much longer. I don't know if that was just him or not but I don't want to ruin it for you. When you get to a point that it's just farming and lvl grinding I would love to help with that
