How to get better morroggo weapons

Okay so I have been trying to farm crysknifes for awhile in a private with my buddy and nothing. Then I recalled playing with a friend I met in public matches and was using apprentice. He kept kicking people all the time. I did 4 runs with him and got two 100 plus upgrade occulus's out of it. So I ran a public myself and the first one I did I got a 112 crysknife with all tower stats. Now of coarse I could of been do for one but who knows. I just think with the randoms joining it triggers better drop rates. Just wondering if anyone notices differences between public and private.

I don't believe that to be the case because I have personally had the opposite experience, all my 100^+ items have come from playing private matches and I have never received an item over 50^ in public matches.

-private hosting
-public rooms
-randoms
-randoms w/ mismatched armor
-randoms w/ mismatched armor and low lvl
-full set of lucky armor

and come to find out...its all just random

there's a lot of talk about getting better items by doing certain things but its all random, i guess you got lucky at the right time!
