Just wondering, as a good friend of mine doesn't have any of the shards but was considering getting part 4 for the CD.

Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
Just wondering, as a good friend of mine doesn't have any of the shards but was considering getting part 4 for the CD.
No. The unlock requirement is beating all 4 shards maps - and you can only play the ones you own.
Don't worry, you're nit missing anything. Crystaline Dimension might be the worst thing added to the game so far.
Up till the boss wave it's mind numbingly easy. And the only reason why that is hard is because you're life and time capped on top of not giving you any time to set up any proper defenses at all before throwing loads of ogres right at you while you have to fight 5 bosses.
And if by any chance anything goes wrong, you have to go through EVERYTHING all over again.
And I'm really getting tired of DD depending solely on Steam for connection.
Steam shat itself out while I was on the first wave of defending the Mage, and I REALLY don't feel like doing all that BS again.
EDIT: Oh joy. Maintenance.
Steam always does maintenance on Tuesdays now, and it typically happens around 4:00pm Pacific time. In that, I make sure not to have any difficult or long stages running during the hour or two following that. They always post the exact time for Tuesday maintenance in the official Steam downtime thread, thankfully, and it tends to last for half an hour at most.
