Sword of Masters

I have been farming the volcano challenge and have found some decent stones throw spears but can't seem to find a good sword of masters. Since I haven't been able to use one, are they a good sword? Is it worth continuing farming to get a good one?

The ranged attack is hardly useful (as it targets a single enemy and dont do much damage too) but its fun! Who dont like shooting projectiles outa swords. :P

PS. If only it was a moon slash (Getsuga Tensho :P) instead of those useless balls.... oh well

IMO the laser is just cool icing. The sword itself can have high starting base dmg and it swings fast. Coupled with the fact that most of them seem to drop with longer lengths make them a good replacement for either ice swords or tidal blades... if you get one with enough ^s. I've yet to get one with 200+ ^s, but if I do then I will try it out. Like Andy says... so I will export to open and see there before I waste the mana.

I think the sword is more of a novelty item than anything else.

IMO, they should have not had a separate ranged damage stat. The ranged attack damage should just be based off of the normal melee damage.

Boosted it would be capital letters... FTW. ( since I know what your barb does boosted with two ice swords :-)

Personally I see it like a great alternative. If you have a supreme or trans ice sword you are golden. But those are either very rare or expensive if auctioned. However; master swords are easier to come by and for a gamer like me who doesn't do much in the way of auctions it might be a decent alternate. And there is a specific challenge to farm them. So I like the possibility. Still would like to get supreme ice swords but until I get one from a drop, this may (or may not) tide me over until that lucky drop. Or if I ever find a long enough tidal blade.

Or whatever the new blade will be tomorrow.

Are you hinting that you're going to add in another projectile sword weapon with the Jurassic Park DLC?
