[PC] Djinnlet Pet Farming

So, I have been farming a good Djinnlet pet for my summoner. Between trying insane hardcore and nightmare hardcore I got maybe 3 pets out of the 20 that were between 200^ and 210^. My question is, where the hell are people getting the Djinnlets with 300^ and more. I am just curious to see where people's luck has been, also if it is possible to get rewarded a Djinnlet from the monster fest matches or if only the generic pets, like the dragons, are rewarded.

I'd watch out for those people with 300^+ djinnlets. I farmed djinnlet myself numerous time I've gotten 271^ so far.

They can show up in tavern shops, but I too have had terrible luck farming them. That's kind of why I just stopped after I got one with decent hero stats despite having only 120^. I figure I'm just going to use it to upgrade defenses and the switch to a DPS pet anyways, so its damage doesn't need to be ridiculous.

I've farmed it numerous times. I got a 300^ and 2 with 275^ and a crap load from 50^-200^

Keep farming, you'll get one eventually.

I farm Insane HC for a low stress completion, or NMHC if I'm feeling like working.

Have got a few 250+, best one was 295 that Dredd got on our run. That was from insane.

Well I have a good one ( good in stats ) but not that many ups tho 211^ but I don't use it a genie is better for me exept for builders a dijenlet will be way better for builders

I have no doubt that Djinnlets can spawn with up to the maximum possible number of upgrades for Transcendent items on Nightmare - to suggest they can't is to suggest that they somehow can't manage a base of 254.

That said, I don't think they can possibly spawn as Supreme from the Survival reward version. The multiplier probably isn't high enough.

Anyways, up to about 328-329 upgrades is perfectly possible, but random is random, and perfect rolls can be rare (especially as the last 74 upgrades are from the Transcendent level boost roll, which is weighted against the player)

The max upgrade randomizer works in two steps - the first is a pure random roll from 0 to whatever the pet's base max level is, multiplied by whatever multipliers are present. Pets just need a multiplier of around 10-12 to be able to get the best value possible for this roll (254 - anything above rolls over. That's intentional.) The base multiplier for NM HC survival pets is about 15; Djinnlet might be higher because it's awarded on wave 20. So no doubt it can max out that roll.
The second step on the max upgrade randomizer only applies if the item is Transcendent or Supreme - the game rolls a random number between 0 and 74 (115 for supreme), weighted towards lower values. This roll has no external factors - any number in the range is possible, as long as the pet is Transcendent. This roll is added to the base roll.

Transcendent pet rewards from survival are well known to exist, so there's no real doubt that up to 328-ish upgrades is possible for Djinnlets. How common it actually is, is another matter entirely.

tl;dr: Up to about 327-328 upgrades on a survival Djinnlet is entirely possible, but random is random (is random)

Highest I have seen is 275^, though as others have stated, RNG is a harsh mistress. Took me at least 30 wins (not attempts, but wins) of UDFA before I found a good Magic Lamp. Just gotta keep trying.

Urgh, my luck with the lamps is horrid. Best so far was only 120^...

As far as pets go, I farm seahorses with alts almost every day and I have yet too see one over 300^ (still trying to find one with health damage and ups ). RNG is harsh

299^ on a seahorse from NM HC (8 runs) & 245^ from Insane HC (30+ runs w/ keyboard + 2 wired alts so 90 pets awarded/discarded).

187^ on a djinnlet from Insance HC (1 run w/ kb + 2 wired alts, haven't tried NM HC yet).

Random is wicked in it's sense of humor (like my seahorse with 4 tower stats @ 300 & 1^, or my accessory with 6^ and no stats). Especially since there is only pseudo-random generation for the pc.
