True, though thats unavoidable, as you would have to download that amount of data reguardless (abet not all in one hit if it was seperate).

Note: This is the only time you will be able to associate these accounts.

There is very annoying bug in game that when I try to join a game with different version of custom map than I have installed, my CookedMods folder gets flushed, so I have to download and install all maps again.
yeah... authors need to be sure that they give each version of a map they release to the public a different name.
(But it really should just be giving a package mismatch error, I'm not sure why it would do what you describe)
No authors don't need to give their maps six different names. Just download the final versions that have been posted here on the forums.

I think you misunderstand. If people have different verisons of the same map but they have the same file name, yes, there will be problems. This isn't specifically in reference to the contest, but some people have already obtained previous versions of maps and may not be aware there are new ones. Some people have these maps from playing with others (and not by visiting the forums or being aware of this contest) as well, and these people are most likely to be affected by the issue. No authors don't need to give their maps six different names. It is good practice to give different file names for non-final versions of maps. I have dealt with this issue personally for as long as the unreal engine has existed. It is good practice to plan ahead and assume that anything can happen and react accordingly. Even if this problem didn't exist, it's valuable for oneself to have different versions of the map they can go back to if they make a mistake and rebuild and therefore can't undo.
