I was organizing the stuff in my shop and had my afk shop open all of a sudden one guy comes in and unlocks it and starts looting. This was 5 mintues ago and I was in my shop. Thankfully I don't keep anything too valuable on lying out (just the stuff that I can't use myself but don't want to let the map eat).

But still, is anyway for trendy to look into this somehow? i.e., does trendy net keep a list of the games players created and the people that joined?

Ensure this is posted in the Tech support section. That will ensure Ice gets a look at it.

Do players who join a room show up on the "recently played with" players list on Steam?

I tried that but I guess since I had Steam in offline mode they weren't showing up.

We are looking into it a bit but are you 100% certain that your tavern was locked before he came in? In order for a tavern to unlock your client has to tell your client to unlock. The other player's client has no authority to tell your host what's going on. So for a player to have that ability is quite improbable.

I can't say with 100% certainty, but I'm very confident that I left it locked. The only time I ever unlock my tavern is when a friend and I are exchanging loot from a survival run and I have the match hidden and immediately lock it after done.

Also, before the guy game in that unlocked it, two other people came in and were looking around at the stuff on the floor but didn't take anything. So I'm fairly certain that he unlocked it somehow. I suppose another possibility is maybe it wasn't him, but there is a rare bug/glitch that somehow causes it to unlock (seemingly) randomly.

I heard months ago that the XBOX 360 tavern lock had been circumvented by cheaters. Hopefully the PC/MAC and PS3 versions are not having the same vulnerability. I don't run a shop I stick stuff on the floor to make room in my item box. I have nothing of super value however I do NOT want what I do have stolen either!

The issue the xbox360 was that the lock didn't actually really work(until the patch). The lock in the PC/PS3 versions does work quite well however.

I had an issue about a week or 2 ago that was kinda like his. My tavern started out when I started up unlocked. I now always check if my tavern is locked when I start a game.
