    Allow pets to attack for Summoner in assault?

    Summoners have absolutely no way of attacking in assault unless they can get ahold of some mana. would it be possible to allow dps pets to attack, even if they are nerfed?
    I joined a session that was originally set to Glitterhelm, but they changed to an assault course. I found myself utterly useless. Its the only character i currently have on ranked too...

    FYI - I doubt there are any Minion Units available on Assault, so even with mana you'd be out of luck.

    2 seahorses, or 1 seahorse +1 monkey= instawin.

    It would be nice, but would make other character useless.

    Not really you still have to get in range for the pets to get the kill it would still be fair!

    The only reason the summoner shouldn't be allowed to use pets is because you can float to most of the crystals without going over the regular paths. On the challenge:assault map with the jetpack on the ranger, I can avoid most of the map alltogether. (first crystal ---> fly behind it, kill, jump off, fly away). Second ---> Float above cannons (requires jump from opposite side), float to kill crystal, jump down, avoid all stuff. Third crystal: Run on ledge, jump off, float avoiding ethereal spike, get back on ledge, repeat, at crystal. instant kill. It is similar with the other maps, the float is too powerful if his pets could be used.

    So yeah... summoners can't use pets. They can't use minions. They can't phase shift. They have incredibly low hp. And if you're using a summoner and the host decides to switch to assault without telling you, there's no forge to switch to another character.

    Either add MU to the assault maps or let him use his pets. Damage and range nerf as necessary if either gives an unfair advantage to the summoner. If hovering is a balance issue, then it needs to be resolved with the ranger and jetpacking EV too. Disabling hovering across the board seems fair to me.

    It was said that Summoners wouldn't be able to complete most challenges by themselves. Seeing how they are not designed to be a DPS character in any way, I think the logical solution would be to just not use Summoner in Assault.

    Well I never said make them able to solo it. But let them do something other than sit there and die. That is literally the only thing they are capable of atm. Adding MU would at least let them participate, even though minions don't move fast enough and the casting time is too long for them to really do anything.

    I'm pretty sure they've made their decision, since they have already said summoner won't be useful for some specific challenges, including assault.

    though i would like to see a way to swap chars in an AMP game w/o returning to tavern...
