Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
One of the features of Nightmare is that every non-boss enemy in the game is present.
If you don't want Spiders in Moraggo/Aquanos, or Djinn in Misty/Aquanos, or Sharken in Misty/Moraggo, they're not there in Insane or below. They're only on maps they're not supposed to be on in Nightmare, because Nightmare was designed that way.
I believe the newer maps (Karathiki/Cliffs/Talay) also have all of the non-boss enemies as well, on all difficulties, which makes it a bit interesting cause you can see how they all work together without having to be well-geared for the nightmare runs![]()
lawls. not true at all. city in the cliffs and karathiki have djinn and spiders on all difficulty levels. and trying to do those maps with insane difficult gear is near impossible. its almost the same for all shards maps as well.
anyway, to topic, i do remember skeletons used to always give me tons of trouble with walls, before the EV was released and all the goodness associated with strength drain auras was added. its not so much an issue anymore. kobolds and sharken are really the only threat to walls anymore. but the bigger threat is still random crystal explosion and defenses randomly going down out of nowhere. i watched that happen 3 times in one way on city in the cliffs the other night. i was standing right next to the wall the kept going down, and there was nothing around.
ive also definitely been hit for far more than 2k damage from an unbuffed kobold, frequently, on NM maps.
yeah. all my active characters are running 70-75 in all resists in NM mode, i seriously cannot recall ever being hit for less than 7000 from a kobold on any of them.
now, 2000 on insane? yeah, that i can buy.
also, as a side note, i do not at all trust the floating damage numbers from enemy attacks on my hero. or the ones from my heroes on enemies. far more often than i can remember i have seen the actual damage vs floating damage fluctuate by as much as 60% in either direction versus what is displayed in health bars.
Not quite correct. Each Shard map has the special enemy it introduced (Misty has spiders on all difficulties, Moraggo has djinn on all difficulties), but not the others. City in the Cliffs has djinn on all difficulties even though it's not a shard map.I believe the newer maps (Karathiki/Cliffs/Talay) also have all of the non-boss enemies as well, on all difficulties,
ah, my mistake =o
hahah that's probably not going to happen. Nightmare mode has that name for a good reason and while NM is still in beta we're still tweaking it as time goes on. Plus once all shards are released then we can see what changes need to be made so that it's enjoyable but also one hell of a challenge.
Confused on the calm down part because we feed the monsters two cans of Monster and a 5 hour energy drink on the higher waves to keep them going.
