    Jester Hero Class Ideas

So no one really knows what the Jester is going to be like and neither do I. But I like to think about what would be good for a new class/hero. I came up with some ideas for the new Jester hero coming later this month. First off she should use Monk weapons since no other additional hero uses those and they are fun to use in general. She should also use towers (Not stances or Minions). So here is a list of what I though could be for a seemingly tricky class/hero (People think she is suppose to be tricky as I've heard). (Note: these may have changed for I have had better ideas and wanted to change)

-Spike Flooring: A circular panel that when enemies walk over they are damaged. Does not effect Night Elf Warriors.

-Tricked Wall: A wall that has a lot of heath but not the most of the walls. When placed it gains a random elemental resistance. Enemies with the same elemental resistance do mush less damage than other enemies.

-Bomb Barrage: A tower that shoots 3 bombs at a time that do massive splash damage to enemies. It has a large range but does not fire at enemies too close. It also does not shoot straight, It fires in a arch. The 3 bombs fired also have each elemental resist that do different things depending on element. Poison bombs will slow the target down, fire bombs will burn the enemies doing damage overtime, and lightning bombs will plant an electric field hurting all none lightning resistance enemies that pass.

-Rejection Mirror: A wall that when enemies hit it they get knocked back and can hit other enemies down. It has lowest health of the Jester's towers and does not effect Ogres.

-Present Volley: Acts Similar to the bomb barrage but fire at allies and weak towers. On impact the splash damage gives health and a random buff (Attack, Speed, or repairing time bonus).

So that would be my ideas for the towers (I need better names though). I have my ideas for the hero abilities and everyone wants them to be shapeshifting stuff and so do I.

-Shapeshift Wyrven: Transforms Jester into a wyrven allowing flight. In the sky you can use the melee and ranged abilities of your weapon. while in this form you can not heal or place towers. you can either land or deactivate to transform back into the Jester.

-Shapeshift Warrior: Transforms Jester into a night elf warrior doubling speed, attack speed, and jump height. In this form you can only use the melee of your weapon. Your hero attack is slightly decreased in this form.

These are my ideas for the Jester. If you like or have something you think should be different on my list please reply to this.

Id like them to be able to "clone" our other heroes (setup from tavern) giving us the ability to do a whole setup with 1 char - clones like stances copying exact gear/stats but not allowing builder bonus I can dream..

    -Spike Flooring: Spike+Trap

    -Spear Launcher: Cannon+Reload

    -Pushback Basher: Bouncer

    -Wheel of Fire: Slicer+Inferno

    -Bomb Barrage: Interesting

-Shapeshift Wyrven: Aerial battles are so fun. I like flying on my demoness to avoid damage and having my 2 pets play with wyverns.

-Shapeshift Warrior: More revenge on those evil ninjas?

Most looked like combinations of towers, but I really like the wyvern idea.

Personally, I'm hoping the jester will focus on low DU-cost towers that allow you to redirect lanes into each other to cut down on how many chokepoints are needed. The only ideas I have so far that I really like-

A large boxing glove on a spring type contraption- Low damage, high knockback, but also unidirectional- things walking past it get bopped over in a straight line depending on how you set it up. 1-2 DU.

A 'wall', which is a large wrapped present. High hp, and enemies within a certain range are attracted to attacking it. Was thinking it'd explode when destroyed, it occurs to me that it's sounding a lot like a permanent series EV hologram decoy. Idea may still need work. 2-3 DU.

The last thing that's had any sticking power in my brain is a large metal fan. Unidirectional like the boxing glove, this could be used in two ways. Enemies walking into the wind are slowed down in a line. Enemies walking with the wind at their backs are sped up. Main use will probably be like an ensnare aura, not sure if it's too duplicative. Probably have to be at least 4 DU.

The abilities I have in mind are a buff that causes enemies to prioritize the jester, and a firecracker that does small fire damage and heavy knockback in a radius around the jester.

I see her doing crippling skills. Poison Gas, Bleed over time, etc.

If we can shapeshift into a warrior or wyvern, screw tower stats, DPS all the way for me

Only things I could think of:

    Redirection Sign
"A flashy sign that forces enemies to walk around it"
Basically, a blockade that blocks pathing for enemies and can't be attacked. Only problem I could see with this is that people could block off all paths to the crystal, so it would only really work if there was something that made it check if enemies are still able to actually reach the crystal and if they can't, you won't be allowed to build it there.
The sign can't be pushed aside, desummoned, webbed or even targetted by enemies; it can only be destroyed by natural hazards (i.e. rising lava) and a player selling it. Air enemies can still fly over it.

    Blazevent
"An air vent constantly spewing hot flames, burning enemies over time"
Basically an inferno trap that is active all the time and shoots flames upward from the air vent (placed on the ground, no collision, like trap). All enemies hit by the flames get a Fire DoT applied to them for x seconds. Only shoots flames during combat phase and has less intensive graphics than Inferno Trap/Fireball Tower.
The Blazevent loses health over time like auras, but is not affected by amount of enemies getting hit by it.
Can't be pushed aside or webbed, but can be desummoned from the vent's center.

I do agree that it needs to be a tower based hero or hybrid, though i don't really like these towers suggestions...
The towers need to be something unpredictable, like dropping a box that randomly opens and does something random (heals friendlies, heals enemies, damages enemies, damages friends, instant kill enemies nearby, stun enemies, slow enemies, freeze enemies).
THIS is how a jester should work, it shouldn't be something that simple honestly.

For the hero abilities, they are reasonable i say, for the dps side but we need to think of builders too...

    More tower ideas:

offensive gift box: something that damages enemies randomly, like make the dps be all random too instead of stable

defensive gift box: does the opposite of the offensive gift box (works on allies and towers)

(as mentioned above) random gift box: does a wide variety of things to enemies or players randomly in a bigger scale

teleportation gift box: drop boxes around the map for fast teleportation method (perhaps make the end location random)

jester-in-a-box: randomly shoots elemental 360º beams with side effects at enemies that are nearby (poison stuns, lightning slows down[?], fire sets enemies on fear[?]), perhaps make it build under the floor so it's one of those in front of the line defenses that works fine on special mobs.
