Minions not utilizing full attack range in hold defensive mode again?
i know that archer and mage minions got an attack range boost, however, either something is bugged with their range in hold defensive mode, or the displayed attack range and the actual attack range are 2 wildly different numbers. my archer minions are reading at 21.45 range right now, and things that are clearly in their attack range (i know this from the range of my magic missile towers, which is 22.10), are not getting their attention and being attacked.
also, and this might be related to it, but their range scaling is extremely weird right now. when i summon them, without upgrades they have 21.34 range, and at level 4 they are reading 21.45... this just doesnt seem to make any sense. before the patch, when i summoned them, they started off at 11.5ish range, and scaled up to 17.5ish. it just seems something is weird.
also, my mage minions have the exact same range now as they did pre-patch.
Lvl0: 23.20 (it was 19,41 at Lvl5 before)
Max BB: 36,68
Lvl0: 10,60 (it was 10.40 at Lvl5 before)
Max BB: 16,75
for the mage it is not a big difference, the archer got a good buff at range
im not seeing that attack range in performance. i am seriously seeing half of what is being listed for actual attack range. with 21 range, my magic missile towers can reach from the top of the set of stairs on the low crystal on the summit all the way to the top of the set of stairs adjacent to them. a little further actually. i just tried to make my archer minion attack an orc that was at the 4-way of the said adjacent stairwell, and it moved all the way to the bottom of the stairs, and half the distance between the 2 sets of stairs before attacking. that is not 21 unit range.
also, what is Max BB that you have listed?
Max BB is a Buffbeam at 3 Stars, so the maximum possible stat of my minions.
It seems like the range is a little bit broken again, i think Trendy will fix this with the next patch then.
they still arent attacking for more than half the listed range...
 yeah, just tried this with someone whose archer minion had a listed range of 22 on magus quarters. standing at the bottom of the staircase on the east side, they werent attacking further away than the 3way at the stop of the stair. i tried giving it a specific target to attack and every time i did i moved literally right next to the target i told it to attack before it started.
Defensive hold is annoying. Half of the minions won't attack things practically in melee range. And then Offensive stance has them running into the thick of battle never to return, lol.
I need a middle ground stance.
my archers will use the range they have now, also my mage is shooting enemys far away.
my archers have buffed with beam a range of 36 and they use it...
without buff they have a range of 23, and they will attack at magus quarter from the top of the stairs to the lower level.

\/4n!114 ][c3, most likely the minion doesn't think he has clear line-of-sight from that position, from his Location to the Targeting Dummy's Location.
The attack range stat on minions doesn't seem accurate at all, as my archers actually shoot *further* than what their range says.
