sharken on udfa?
why is there sharken on uber death from above? they are not air based, and i get the ogres it makes it more tricky, but hell you might aswell add spiders if your going to add sharken, i will deal with sharken in survivals, ok you wont see me complain about that, but when sharken move your harpoons that kick it off of the buff beam killing the buff beam and making the harps near useless. thats alright im on dps char i can hold that area, except for the factyou give me 45 seconds to switch to 2 different characters to fix what the sharken messed up,
this is already one of the hardest challenges being as you have 120 du to protect 3 crystals from every direction, plus ogres spawn. like i have all these great ways to deal with sharken but they are just null on this map.
This is not me complaining about sharken in general, this is me complaining about the fact they are in uber death from above.
I suggest remove sharken from death from above, i have 3k tower stats on my squire, 1.8k stats on my monk and almost 3k tower stats on my EV, I had a good build to farm it pre-sharken, and i just tried it today and i spent 4-5 hours trying different builds, i cannot see how you are supposed to do this alone now.
When did Sharken appear on DFA? I'm confused. I haven't checked UDFA but DFA I'm sure has no Sharken O.o

Yeah it is annoying, though you should be able to do it solo since i managed to do it, with worst stats(1k-2k in towers with a dps hero active).
Simply make strength drain auras and ensnares on top of each crystal, make 6 harpoons on right crystal (2 pointing at crystal, 2 pointing at one of the sides ogres come from[top] and another 2 pointing at the other side ogres come from.
Then you place 4 on the bottom crystal (2 pointing at the ramp where ogres come from and 2 pointing backwards at the crystal).
And for last, 4 harpoons on the left crystal, 2 pointing at crystal and 2 pointing at the ramp (again).
Leftover DU can be used for lightning auras or gas traps, your choice.
Tried this 2 times, and i must say it works as long as u take out the sharken in middle and djinn on left fast. Only issue is the time in each build phase, and the first 2 waves are usually the hardest for me.
Basically the cycle should go like this if you want to solo: aura monk, tower squire (wave 1), EV buffs and possible re-arrangement with squire (wave 2), possible gas traps or auras + upgrading + dps hero with dps pet (wave 3).
Note: Keep all the harpoons inside the auras, and make them all built in a line that covers in a 360 degree, buffed by a single beam (5 DU beam if im not mistaking).
EDIT: They should just make the build phase a bit longer, because it really is hard to rebuild moved towers within 60 or less seconds (run to forge - change hero - run to spot - rebuild tower - get back to forge - change hero).

Been running it a few times with 3 afk controllers joining in during the last wave, so solo it should be fine. My highest stat on any character is 2000, but I've done it with about 1700 in squire attack also.
Only used 1 gas trap where most of the sharken seem to get through, but other than that I have had no problems with them.
This Challenge continues to vex me. Playing solo on Hardcore Nightmare, my success rate is about 1 in 10 with Squire Towers of ~ xx/1800/700/1200. My Auras & Buff Beam are around 600-1k, and all combined it's still not enough. Wave 13 & 14 kill me every time It's not the Sharken or Ogres even, my problem is the randomness of Super Wyverns, and the fact that there is no cap on the number that spawn at the same time. If you get a golden Super Wyvern in a pack of 3 or more, it's game over.
To beat HCNM, you need a minimum of 2500 attack with 1k range and speed. Brutal

auras-auras and more auras, Last time I heard I ranked kinda high in this one...I will post a build. A trick I use in the last round is sell the ground and place more air after the ogres are done spawning.
This is my build works fine w 6....I did not name this a friend did (Uber Owned From Below).
Thank you to all the advice, i have tried a few similar to those and some worked until the later rounds. i will try again, it was late last time i tried.
I can do it with variations on those builds. More gas less towers for me. Players need to kill sharken and djinn and gas pins them in place. Ignore ogres and wyverns. As long as you suppress those two, the towers will take care of the rest.
You also need big (1300+ range) auras to stand a real chance. Snare being big is really key. They're slower for longer, so harps get a better chance to take stuff down.
Here's a related question: Why are there spiders, djinn & sharken on City in the Cliffs even on Insane and below difficulties yet Trendy are adamant it's not a Quest for the Lost Eternia Shards map?
I always thought it was like a trainer map for them.
