hello all. recently i lost all my data on xbox and am now thinking about making the move to pc. i dont really want to pay full price again as i will also be purchasing all the dlc. now i was wondering if a steam sale was likely to happen anytime soon. does anyone know if this is likely or not?

While no one can say for sure (other then the marketing people at Trendy), there are a few key events upcoming that may result in some form of sale on the base game. The first i would watch is the 23rd when the summoner is released, also sometime after that shards 4 will be released. Thats your best shot

check other places, from what i hear you can buy the game from amazon for $5 and go to configure to change it to log in through steam then you download steam and log in through that. you may want to confirm this before trying.

also when getting dlc the only dlc you need in my opinion, is eternia shards pack, city in the cliffs and series ev. with these you have the potential to build any map and get every achievement.

The game uses steam works, anywhere you buy it (amazon/indie bundle/other legit seller) you will be given a CD key that can and should be registered to your steam account.

Steam summer sale? I'm not sure if this is guaranteed to happen every year but it will probably happen around June or end of June.

You could try trading with other Steam users. Some people will buy the 4-pack of a particular game, use one code for themselves, and have the remaining 3 to trade with people who have done the same thing. I've seen such trading requests on Steam game forums and 4chan, but have not participated myself.
