Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
What hero stats contributes to the dps of pets?
Hero damage. That's all.
Hero Damage, but only to Mythical or better pets, unless the pet specifically states it deals "HEROIC" damage.
If the pet says it does heroic damage or it mythical quality or better then hero damage affects it.
Thanks for the replies. Why I'm asking is because when I equip my seahorse to my monk it does better dps than when equipped to my squire and both characters have the same hero damage value.
If you're using Hero Boost / Blood Rage, those may still affect pet damage. Can't remember if that was taken out or not.
Checked in DDDK, and monks have a very slightly lower initial exponential ramp on hero damage (only 0.1%) that might affect pet damage, but an initial .5% higher multiplier overall (Increases slightly slower, but starts out slightly higher). However, these diferences only apply to the first few stat points, at which point they both reach the same value - I'm not sure if 4 stat points at .5% increased damage is significant enough to be a noticeable change overall.
DDDK only has the 4 base classes' stat exponents and multipliers included, so I can't really give any accurate data for any extras. Out of those, there is one class with a difference that's significant at high stat values - Huntress has a 1.2% lower full exponential ramp on damage (applied to all stat points past the first few points.) So with any given pet a Huntress should get less of a damage bonus than the App, Monk or Squire. She's also significantly nerfed in pvp compared to them, but pvp is... less important these days.
Supposedly EV is weaker than App or Huntress at equal stats, which probably means a lower multiplier than either of them, but there's no real comparison info for the other characters. Supposedly the alternate heroes use the same damage values as the originals, but there's no way to check Barbarian's values directly.
Didnt the monk get his damage buffed significantly at some point? B/c his pet multiplier seems to be extremely high (500HD out damages a 1.5k character).
EDIT
* Buffed Monk/Initiate DPS Ramp by 25%, high-end Monks & Initiates will do about 45% more damage, and HeroBoost/TowerBoost effectiveness ramps by 33%
It's not reflected in the monk archetype in DDDK, though, which leads me to believe the change might've been applied directly to spears. Alternately, the monk file in DDDK is severely out of date.
I'll have a look and see if there's any other numbers, though.
Edit: Can't find any damage multipliers of any sort in the monk archetype. Either the damage change was bringing monks up to everyone else, isn't included in the DDDK, or it's not applied in the GetStatModifier code, and rather applied on the weapon, which means it shouldn't be affecting pets.
All done using the same pet
447HD monk does 44.7k per projectile
515HD squire does 33.2k per projectile
1962HD Barb does 44.9k per projectile
1818HD huntress does 40.5k per projectile
Somehow my aura monk almost outdamages all my DPS characters, and the barb just barely makes it past
EDIT
Different pet (same type) to get 0 HD
0HD monk does 4321 per projectile
0HD squire does 4321 per projectile
So the HD ramp on a monk is significantly higher than any other character
