The strange creatures keep putting stuff into inventory when you pet them, if they dropped it on the ground we could see if we want to pick up that next cursed torn item or not.

I just don't talk to them after the first wave but this would make them a lot better.
Better yet, could the various creatures actually give Mythical or higher quality gear on NM? I wouldn't mind as much if there was a chance to get chest-quality things.
or at least, make it that those items auto-sell if we have myth gear or more, on
They do give out amazing stuff occasionally, I got a mythic serpent with good tower stats, but that was from an Insane donkey so I don't know if the NM animals are busted.
Great suggestion, I always end up with pages of cursed items etc. Another possibility is to just make the NPC's give out better loot

I think the reason they go straight into the inventory is because there seems to be an unwritten rule that pets cannot drop from chests or monsters. Since the creatures occasionally give you pets, they decided to put it straight into your inventory. They could still have the regular equipment drop on the ground though.
Agreed. They not only put the item in your inventory, they LOCK it, so that it blends in with all your other locked items. If you're low on box space, you keep having to search them out and sell. It gets old real fast.
