Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
but there are still other maps that don't have first wave ogres... why is everyone so hyped on ES? :s
The bottom line is loot progression for someone who wants to solo is borked. Trendy, as far as can be seen from other threads in a similar vein, has no intention or has not figured out how to fix it. Heck a few runs of deeper wells nmhc, which should logically be where you start your myth farming, and not a single one.
Trendy has their core of hardcore gamers and seems fat and happy to continue to cater to them with new high end content instead of filling the glaring void that has existed since NM was introduced.
To those points even the those in the "l33t' category admit loot progression is borked and requires extensive non-causal gaming time to join the 'l33t'.
Because it is the only map where myths will drop after first wave and the addition of ogers and sharken to the first wave has made it very hard to solo. Its not impossible but very difficult.
i think after 5-10 people have been kicked from a game that the game should be locked and not let anyone else be able to join it. ive seen a few games now that say "join=kick" and it just annoys me that they either like kicking people, dont know how to make private game, dont know how to use the hide button.mk my rant is over lol
If "joining the l33t" didn't require extra effort, it wouldn't be "the l33t" now would it? DD consists of the same basic components as any other multiplayer RPG. There's a ton of content for casual players to enjoy and spend their time on, and then there's some content for the more hardcore players who enjoy a challenge and have a lot of free time.
Sadly, for some reason casual players are entitled little brats who envy the hardcore players and want to be awesome like them, so they whine and cry for things to be made easier so they can be special too, not realizing that if they got what they wanted there wouldn't be a point to it any more because literally everyone else would get it as well and everyone would just finish everything and stop playing because there would be nothing else to do.
Or they were doing Mistymire Forest Survival on Hardcore Mixed Mode and the first 10 people who joined all had <500 stats and resistances under 30%.
Whos asking for anything to be handed to them? I don't see anyone in this thread asking for handouts. You really need to get off your high horse and try running through the game with a new solo character. If absolutely nothing had been changed in the insane -> NM progression then yes you'd be right in saying that people need to suck it up and push through. But things have changed, players that can AFK insane get murdered half way through wave one on NM
I think you will find it says single-player as well on the steam store page.
it does not say single-player,but multi-player once you hit low end myth gear.
if that's the case then they should give ppl who bought it for single-player only a refund, because there moving away from single-player then.
I only bought this game as well as shards on the basis it said single-player,as i hate playing online with random ppl, only to be kicked close to getting the pet,or just getting kicked once the towers are built,or just getting kicked anyway.
I am sick of people complaining about "progression" and being kicked, progression is just that, you need to WORK to get further through the game, just because you happen to find someone to power level your level 20 because he was leveling his alt and wanted more people to get more monsters, does not mean it will happen later in game.
Myself, I started and played having to work out builds and google things online, I wasn't power leveled and worked for all my gear. "but i cant do NM" you say, then do insane get some good godlys and or cash and then go buy some mythic gear, there is the options for "hard, insane and medium" for a reason for PROGRESSING to work up to the better gear.
IF ANYONE joins my game and their player hp is under 500 I ill kick you, because a ninja will violate you in the first 15 seconds of the wave, if my robot/guardian or pet I have on has more stats then you I'm kicking you, if you have -xx% general defense I'll kick you. I'm building my way DO NOT build unless I ask you too
DO NOT join a NIGHTMARE mode with out decent stats, nightmares is MEANT TO be hard!!! do not expect to get carried if you join a random match. there are guides for builders with 500ish stats all over the forums, don't have a builder? GO GET ONE!
