Several of my Mac issues...

So I've spent the last couple days trying fixes that I have seen posted all over the internet, but still the game is not an enjoyable experience for me. I really want it to be.

My problems:

The game will freeze at the intro movies, I have moved these intro movies to a folder but now I just get to stare at a blank screen for a couple minutes, it's like it's still freezing at those movies but without the movies actually being there.
First question: Can I just bypass all this completely and go straight to the menu so I don't have to wait through this?

Then I have fps lag, like everyone else who is on a mac, apparently. The only time I do not experience lag is when I am first accessing the main menu, after a game the menu is laggy, as is the game itself. I've set it to the lowest quality, the lowest resolution, turned off a bunch of extra features in the config file. Before it was completely unplayable, now it is playable but completely unenjoyable.

Lastly, I can't host games. I tried the -tcp thing, but no matter what kind of game I try to make it says "Failed to Create a Game." I deleted hamachii as well.

My computer, not the best for games, but I'm pretty sure it should be able to run this...:

Macbook Pro
Mac OS X version 10.6.8
Processor: 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo
memory: 4 gb 667 mhz ddr2 sdram
graphics: geforce 8600m gt

I don't know if you need any other specs.


Any help or suggestions will be extremely appreciated.

Is this something that has no quick fix? Am I left to just wait for a potential patch? Is my computer not up to par for this game?

So.... playing on sky o love on hard with my friends for the queen of hearts skin. I lag like crazy so I just stare at the ground. I assume I'm lagging extra crazy cause the whole map is made up of moving parts.

Made it till wave 10/10 only one more couple to get together... My game crashes, can't join since it's not a build phase, do not get any of the prizes.

Lowest quality, also went into that config file and set some fancy feature things to false that others recommended and the lowest resolution.

I could handle the low fps, although I'd like someone to help me with it or tell me there is nothing that can be done. But what happened with sky of love, that's just annoying, I don't remember the last time I was this frustated with a game. All I wanted was the queen of hearts skin. That took several hours. I think the floor of that map needs to not move...

For the time being there's no way to get around the movies and the loading that's going on. You'll need to wait it out.

As for the hosting issue we do know of several Mac users unable to host games at the moment and we're looking into the issue. You can also try opening ports 7777 and port forward it to your machine to see if that helps. But you may need to wait for a patch on this one.

Alright. Well thanks for addressing my problems. Really lovely game, bought the whole dlc package and stuff. Still wish that sky of love level's floor was edited or something, I'm not sure if I can make my friends play another 2 hour round for me to get that skin.
