What is your favorite way to deal with spiders?

Spiders are the bane of my existence. An otherwise great build can easily be ruined by a single stray spider. Wyvern rush? No problem. Wyvern rush and one spider manages to get through and web that harpoon? Game over man, game over.

I tend not to look at ddplanner or cubicleninja, because I have a lot of fun trying to puzzle out a build. Most of the time though I end up changing large portions of the build so I can have a few extra DU for spider control. At this point I'm looking for some general ideas so I can progress further (low 20s on misty, and I really want to get to 15 on endless spires for that pet).

What is your favorite method for dealing with these little pests?

Proxies+ magic blockades.

Bouncer beneath the spiders at first it will kill the spiders. At later wave it won't kill the spiders but will keep the occupied so I still don't need to pay too much attention to spiders unless one spider bounced way to far than I let my dps pet handle it.

if you place them right. you may need to deal with some stray ones occasionally

Where are you expecting this to be effective? Bouncers failed as early as wave 14 or 15 on Misty with my gear. Eventually they get overwhelmed if they aren't killing fast enough.

1 Magic Blockade, 1 2-DU Shock Beam = 3DU. I've been using this in Misty and it works well enough. In the upcoming patch, Shock Beam will have the ability to stun spiders.

Kandar's 2 Magic Blockade + Proximity Trap + Buff Beam is popular, but is only worth doing if you can cover 2 drop points (near Misty's forge) and are able to make use of the beam for other defenses.
