Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
(Commish's idea, I'm just posting it because it rocks.)
If our character isn't webbed, there should be a way for us to attack webs. Should be able to slice away at them when they're on a tower or another player, to speed up their demise. Straight attacking would probably be the nicest, but could make a special ability that you had to do, for the same effect. Would really help during massive spider spawns to give the player an ability to make the towers do something.
That's honestly the first thing I tried to do when I first saw a tower webbed - attack it to knock it off. The second was repair the tower to attempt to heal the web.
It would be more enjoyable for me if there were some way players could deal with webs on things other than themselves.
Seeing as webs are already a core gameplay mechanic as they are, changing them at this phase would simply make the game too easy!!!
[/sarcasm... Just what someone who shall remane nameless that is supporting your suggested change in this thread has said about other changes I've suggested]
On a more serious note, something like this would be welcomed even if it's not exactly your idea.
Especially with weapons called "Webbing Untangler" (lol)
Maybe add an option for tower repair called 'unweb', as well, but yeah, slicing webs should get rid of 'em imo.
Or like, maybe have the web disappear once the spider that shot it dies.
