So how does a buff beam go down by itself?

Moraggo survival, just had a buff beam go down by itself when solo'ing, on other side of map. Get there, all the other towers are there, nothing's badly hurt.

Can djinn unsummon the buff beam? If so, will they now target a buff beam over other towers?

Same things been happening to me. On marrago and city in cliffs. Buff beam went down but no auras, traps, walls or towers went down before. I just assumed it was unsimmoned by djinn

I don't think Djinn code's in the DDDK, so I can't confirm, but I believe they prioritise defenses with more upgrades than others, and the beam probably doesn't need line of sight to hit the target (either that or your buff beam nodes are just barely in line of sight)

Djinn can unsummon any defense, so it's likely they'd attempt to unsummon a buff beam from time to time.

Especially in Moraggo, its Djinns. Buff beams typically extend past the edge of towers and are closest - especially on the south side - to Djinn spawns. The ones that spawn in the temple or north of the southern crystal will frequently target a buff beam on those towers as they're the 'closest' defense and are a pain to deal with.
