I want to see how everyone is handling Sharken? I've tried gas traps and shock beams. Shock beams seemed to have worked decently, but once a Sharkens gets to charging, shock beams nor gas traps seem to stop it.
What have you guys been doing?

hoping i kill them before they charge.
the only time i have noticed any real problems with them is when they get stuck behind an ogre (or chain of them) and harpoons do not him them because the targeted location on the ogre is much higher than the hit box on the sharken, and they have no issues whatsoever pushing defenses even when they are stuck behind a mass of enemies. or even going into their charge animation.
where there are lanes where you can afford to drop shock beams because they will be far enough away that they can stun the sharken before they start there charge (and still hit them with other defenses), they work fine, but there are a lot of locations where this is not a possibility.
they are without a doubt the most troublesome enemy in game currently, orders of magnitude more than djinn ever were.
they also all spawn very early in waves, which i guess is both a good and bad thing.
on wave 16 in magus quarters, after i switched to my ranger to get some piercing damage i could direct through the ogre zergs at them to keep them interrupted, i didnt have any problems with them.
but i played wave 17 misty with a friend, and we lost literally less than a minute into the wave because a sharken came from out of nowhere and barreled through the north all the way to the southern crystal.
Playing other games that don't have game breaking mechanics.
try ensnare aura
>Work out stratergy last night for a level I was having troubles with.
I (on countess) just sell old and place new barricades when they knock them away.
Get to last wave (boss wave), they move the barriers get to my harpoons and scatter them all, and destroy the buff beam.
I dont like them >_>
Yeah, I'm having a problem with them being stuck behind Ogres too.
I've only played a few maps with Sharken. If they could be stunned after they get the charging, then they'd be much more manageable.
I'll be sure to try these next, I did forget about them.
well, i just tried lifestream hollow monsterfest.
i dont think i will be playing that again. i literally killed 3 enemies and then a sharken came barreling in like a mongoloid on meth and just destroyed absolutely everything.
Always placed defenses where it would have good coverage but minimal exposure. There are some places where it isn't going to exactly work, but it's doing great for now.
Not very well...
Considering that I have 1.5-2k stats, and pre patch I could play any NM campaign level up to and incl Glitter completely AFK with just harpoons (or any other DPS tower for that matter) with little thought, campaign levels are now akward to solo with me constantly running around replacing defenses. I dont even want to imagine what QFTLES maps will be like in survival, especially if you didnt get geared pre-patch
handling sharkens reasonably easily. Not even 1k stats and cleared Deeper Wells Surv NMHC with no problems... starting at Wave 23.
