EV costume DLC needed?

I today completed the uber death from above challenge on medium. Now I don't have the DLC but I've previously gotten customs with out the DLC. I completed this on the ranked trendy server. I've seen others with the costume so it must work for some. Any help appreciated.

You have to beat the campaign map i believe.
