Dungeon Defenders II game Status:
Really enjoying the survival patch - just collected a giraffe for an hours play!
I've picked up two difficulties (Misty NM):
1. Proxy traps don't seems to trigger when spiders fall on them - I needed to manually trigger through the game
2. With a buffed proxy under the forge it's virtually impossible to find a spot to press E

1. This will be fixed in 7.28b
2. Can't seem to reproduce this here, can you post a screenshot of the layout that produces this behavior?
It happens with this sort of setup...
If you zoom in all the way you can select it. Any other camera view, it becomes very difficult to select the forge.
I had some thing similar. if you look away from the traps while looking at the forge it works also. but it takes some work.

I had to get between the forge and the tree and with quite a bit of manoeuvring to trigger.
I noticed some delay with my bouncers on raining goblins nm hc. Had goblins walking right between 2 bouncers which did not fire until after the goblin was already past them and smacking the crystal. Never had this happen before and noticed it happening throughout the wave like my rate of attack had been nerfed or bugged in some way.
