Feel free to make your own poll titled "Should polls count when developers are making decisions about their games."

    Just a thought.

What's the point of having a discussion thread for a poll if it's not to discuss the poll, exactly?
If you were discussing the content of the poll it'd be one thing. You're not.

Seriously though, if you're not interested in discussing it with me, don't discuss it with me.
I haven't been. You're the only one still discussing it.

Don't keep telling me to stop trying to discuss it, because I'll happily discuss it with anyone else,
Noone else has been. Just you.

and only moderators have the authority to determine if it's off-topic for this thread.I interpreted the "the topic of the thread seems to have been lost" from the moderator to mean "get back to talking about the poll and EV, rather than making personal attacks like trying to place motives on why people might be making the responses they are."
Riiight. That's why he told us to respect each other opinions. And sorry, but I haven't made any personal attacks. If you feel you have been personally attacked, my bad. I'll try to take your sensitivity into concern in the future.

If that wasn't the moderator's intent, if the mod will say what is and isn't off-topic on this thread (and where it would be on-topic to discuss whether or not a poll on the forums represents valid community opinion on Series EV) I'll happily move there. Until then, you don't really have the authority to order me to stop discussing things, and I'd very much appreciate it if you would stop.
I never ordered you to do anything. Only requested that you do. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop trying to drag up a discussion noone but you has expressed any desire in and especially trying to bait me back into it because you weren't happy with my answers. Once again. I've dropped it, why can't you? The mods shouldnt have to tell you what is on-topic, off-topic. Most of us can take a hint when one has to step in and say 'Stop it..' though. It's incredibly self-absorbed to assume you were immune to his warning just because you felt like you weren't included even though he was clearly talking to the two of us and only the two of us.

One thing that's definitely off-topic for this thread is trying to tell other people not to post here since this thread isn't about any particular user, or the right to post.
Never told you not to post here. Only not to attempt to continue an argument with ME that I already said you won. When the person you are arguing with gives up? You won. Whether you like it or not. You. Won. Accept it and move on. If anyone else decides they want to have that discussion with you, they are more than welcome to. My only complaint is the attempt to bait -me- personally back into it. You act like just because I posted again that somehow noone would see your previous arguments about it. It's out there. We all know about it. And if anyone wants to argue it with you, they are more than welcome to. I have no qualms with that.

As a note to moderators: If you do feel I deserve an infraction, I'd very much appreciate an explicit explanation of why. I've read the forum rules, and don't believe I'm breaking them, so they may need some clarification if I am so that other (and myself) may avoid doing so in the future.
And I will go with the opposite. I don't need any explanation of why as I can understand my own faults and know I'm breaking the rules. At least I'm not too self-righteous to admit it.
It's not a difficult concept. When a mod has stepped in, you've probably broken a rule. Or else they would have just let it fly. You're the only one who seems to think his comment was directed at only me when I was the one trying to say it was my -opinion- to begin with and the mod made a comment about accepting each others opinions.

    Funny that.

I accepted your opinion on the matter a long time ago, so it's time to put on the big boy pants and accept mine. [/will probably be considered a personal attack]

Thank you. I was already typing that up before I saw this post or I woulda just put a /agree in here :P

As for this I voted yes since stats are different between m/f classes and we are getting these skins in place of separate gender classes. If they don't make the stat changes then they might as well have just made the 4 alt classes gender swapped skins as well.
Exactly. I'd have preferred them as new heroes myself, rather than alt skins though as it is so easy to get to level 78 I'd simply like a new char to level now and then.. >.o

I think the word "consistent" is getting thrown around too much. One group is using the design version of consistent, where females are always faster than males, another group is using it to mean that other skins do not change the speed of other classes. Though, the Barbarian, the easiest to compare SEV to, does EXACTLY that. Further, costumes like Mitt for squire, changes the squires stats to match that of the countess. None of it is really consistent, just say what you want and stop throwing out misleading verbiage.

I really like the new design of the skin as well, and I would hate to lose the extra speed boost, but, keeping with what they did with the barbarian, I would like to see them implement it the same. Just me though.

Way around this is to always say that the bounty hunter is Samus...err a girl...and therefore gets to keep her stats. Girl had never taken off the helmet though, so no one knew, not even the devs!!

They can come back later and make a boy version of the SEV that no one likes so they can do their buff/nerfs there.

Or they could just allow the guys to get that maxed run speed on a logarithmic scale maxing at like a 1000, keeping current speeds at 100 for everyone, but guys can slowly earn back their 20% by moving up to 1k Hspd. Certainly would make it harder to toss on those -250 Hspd pieces.

It would appear to be more even to do 20% more, or even 200% more, the problem is, that 20% more health at 1k is different than 20% more health @ 100. So a flat amount of 900 or so is enough punishment at higher levels to require that stat is much higher than their gender counterpart.

As for the content of the poll, of course I'm discussing it. How is "who responded and how many" NOT the content of the poll? It is the very result of it.

In regard to consistency, I think most of us are talking about the Amazon/Barb and the previous Male/Female classes. Basically, all males have had more health, and all females have run faster, than their counterpart both in classes and skins prior to series EV.

I basically said in another thread that when I first saw the BH skin I thought it looked like Samus (it doesn't exactly have clear gender markers). Then the devs went out of their way to say it was "the male skin" and to me that communicated that it had the male bonus (as there was literally no reason to make it explicitly male or female other than that, as it's not visibly either). I purchased it expecting the male bonus that prior DLC had led me to expect, and was disappointed, wondering why Trendy even called it "male" when both in gameplay and appearance there was nothing that necessarily made it so.

This is what I thought as well, just seems others are thinking skin consistency where a skin is just an aesthetic change.

I'd honestly be fine with that if they went in and retroactively fixed all the previous skins that way too. No more jetpack, no more fancy Mitt combat animations, etc. I just want to either know skins can have effects, or skins will never have effects, and whether there's a rule (like the implied male/female rule that may or may not currently be a rule, but was expected to be one by some of us).

I appretiate that Trendy can listen to their community and make changes in the patches. it was clear in this case that they changed the male EV costume based on just a few posts that were not actually representative of the majority
    so... please change it back!
Males ( squire, ranger, man monk, apprentice, and male barb) all have more hp and less speed than their female counterparts

Personally I want the other skins that have issues with consistency to be consistent to. This complaint isn't exclusive to the bounty hunter in my case.
For example, the jet pack would be great as an accessory but shouldn't give one skin a noticable, exclusive advantage.
