Pets, where do you put your points?

Where do you guys put your points on your pets? Pet damage, hero or tower stats?

Last night I got one of those Laser Robots, copied to Local and used all the upgrade points on Pet Damage, if not wrong it started with 63 DPS and ended up with somewhere around 1k, which didn't seem that good (?)

What do you guys do? And does your strategy of allocating points change from type to type of pet?

1k dps is **** you should not use it as a dps pet It depends on your build if u want to tower, be a squire which tanks and let the pet do the dps, or full out dps

depends on the pet and what you're using it for. Some pets i just use as stat sticks for my non active builder. A good damage pet though would obviously be in damage attack rate and projectile count. With guardians if the boost can go up i max it, number of effected towers should be given a point every time its available, and before the cap i went to 100 on range though its 90 now. The rest in stats I need.

But for pet damage yes its damage/attack speed/projectile count. I always go for a damage pet with projectile count, that's where the heavy dps tends to come from for me.

Laser robots are best used as DPS pets, unless you have one with good tower stats and use it on a non-active builder. Laser robots can be great. I have a Trans one, fully upped that does 200k+ DPS in tavern. Ever since EV, I tend to use DPS pets on my active builders instead of a guardian. I aim for ones with good beginning tower stats and I up the pet damage, etc.
