You are probably just best off ignoring the games in the live list that are listed as AFK shops if you don't wish to shop.

I imagine some people may get confused as to how to list a shop in the AFK tab, and some others just list anyhow.

Its not entirely a bad thing since moving on only takes a few clicks

Every server on the "live list" is an afk shop for me right know lol. Its getting pretty lame.

We may implement something soon where if you don't have input after a certain number of hours in an online non-AFK Shop game Tavern, it'll exit your online game. Does that sound reasonable?

Might I suggest switching your Steam region? Switching your steam region will list different games, go for something close to home but further out than you currently are, you should see a whole list of different games, and shouldn't cause any lag issues.

    Edit: Jer, sounds brilliant!

Wow! A response from the Head Honcho! Thank you =D. That seems pretty darn reasonable, to help encourage people to not do this. and thanks again for the quick response ^_^

Wouldn't it be easier to remove your public hosted game once you enable the shop? Also, not allow you to host a public game while the shop is enabled. Just make sure to give an error message so people know why.

Downtime while waiting for the group to form = Good shop business
