Currently I am level 75 on my apprentice. I generally have been playing solo. I have a mythical set and a decent wep and pet. I can solo a few levels on nightmare, however I seem to get nothing but crap myth drops which I end up just selling. Every shop I find is selling gear just as good or worse than what I'm wearing, and I just don't know where I should be farming, or where to try to get better gear.

Hard to give you advice without specific stat numbers. What's 'decent' for one person might not be 'decent' for the next.

Level 75 apprentice - 584 tower hp, 683 tower damage, 384 tower range, 595 tower attack speed, 256 move speed, 353 cast speed, 162 hero HP.

Misty survival tbh, you should be able to get to level 10 fairly straight forward, drops there sell for around 1mil a pop.

UMF 2 If you can do the first wave or 2 can get some nice upgrades from chests. Is your gear all upgraded? If not you should be able to double your tower damage pretty easy. Make sure you have a App or Huntress guardian, it makes a huge difference.

Where can I get a good app guardian besides getting lucky with the vendor?

I only know from vendor, but huntress is also really good if its all you can manage to get.
