[Fixed] New Region Lock or nobody plays?

[Edit by Jeremy: Aha it was a game filtering bug! It's fixed here in this non-versioned hotfix, you'll see 100+ games with this:

    http://www.filedropper.com/dundefgame722fixedlisting

Extract DunDefGame.exe here (or to wherever your Steam directory is), overwriting the old file:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\dungeon defenders\Binaries\Win32\DunDefGame.exe

Mac exe can't be distributed like this, so those users will have to wait for Valve to post the Steam update that has this fix, hopefully later today.

    Thanks,
    Jeremy]

    ----

    Hello,

Last time I played before 7.20 but now I can barely see any games and when I did free glitter/insane hc runs none joined, which is weird, usually the server is full in the first 20 seconds.

Did someone else experience a drop of players?

My steam region is Germany - Frankfurt.

    Thanks.

Regions should be expanded, there is no reason not to show all games in europe.
(Although I hate most germans because they think the whole world speaks german )

Well we should be able to filter games based on the region by ourselves in the server browser. Although I cannot agree with you with the second part you mention but when a game comes with German translation then some expect German players.

Offtopic: It's just with every game that most germans refuse to speak english it seems.
Same with the French, I think it's mostly an age thing though.
Dubbed TV is a bad thing imo, I knew english before I learned it at school, but I can imagine you only learn your own language if everything is dubbed for you.

Ontopic: Oh and yes, a changeable filter would be nice.

I think this is due to some new updates came out. If you run an older version your game won't be shown to others with the newer version.

In Germany you start learning English at the age of 5-6 and then have 9-13 years English in school. I don't think they refuse to speak English, more like they alrdy play with other germans.

Btw.. Why don't you learn German?

English is the common ground of languages. Everyone who's worth a damn knows English and several major countries use it as their main language. Only Germans speak German and German is like the ugliest language on the planet, possibly aside from Arabic and Slavic languages.
I agree, I meet a LOT of Germans ingame who just talk their weird language among themselves and ignore other people, it's annoying.

    ... Wow. Just... Wow

Anyway. De-rail aside, I've noticed that the number of games showing up on my list has shrunk quite considerably. Last night it was hard to find a game, and since I can't really solo anything worth doing, I gave up and went to TF2.

Regions are not "locked," although each region is pretty small. It's done this way to ensure you have a playable ping on games you join in the list.

You can play with friends anywhere in the world regardless of your region by simply inviting them to your game or joining their game through the friends list interface.

You can change your region at any time by going into Steam Settings and selecting a different content server location. However, the more distant of a region you select, the more likely you'll encounter unplayable lag.

16k players online and only ~10 games in server browser.
