Mission Failed: Wasted an hour doing Sky O' Love

Just wanted to unlock countess outfit and got to last wave, got 30/32 matchups and the core explodes and literally an hour of work was wasted.

For some reason it was taking FOREVER to match up girls and guys while simultaneously guarding the core.

Naturally I came here to vent my frustration as 90% of forum posters do, but in all honesty I want some advice on how to do this a LOT better. It felt like I could have been matching them up a lot quicker and kept the core safe and I just had no clue what I was doing.

Please someone tell me it's easier than I made it otherwise it means another painful hour working on this challenge again just for a stupid costume.

My tip on how I did it: an ensare+heal aura at the top bridge, one blue portal shot in the air while jumping (so they wont go back in), save the orange portal to shoot all the genders, making them clutch at the top birdge at the auras. They will match up auto this way. Ofc build at the crystals, but you have enough to completey lock it with, app, shields and 4 towers per crystal

No matter how you do it it will more than likely take more than an hour. It's a slow map, with lots to do. And the matching is boring as f. A simple fix to this would be to have way more gendered mobs.

Happened to me 3 times, all on insane. Solo, trio, group. Then i dropped down to... hard and solo'd it rather easily and got a reasonable myth cupid pet.

I also have yet to finish this mission on Insane, it's not fun to waste a hour+ each /try/ and get absolutely nothing for it because you can't win.

Lots of ways they could fix this, but they don't seem to give a crap about how hard this is.

Assuming you have chars that can easily handle NM its fairly simple.

Have a squire/countess/anything with HP/resists sit on the top bridge in the center with a fairy (healing). This player will automatically agro a number of the mobs from the 2 spawns at either end of the bridge and serve as a "jail", the mobs will just beat the players endlessly. Have someone with a portal gun set up the exit on top of the bridge in the air, and have the player roam the bottom 2 spawns teleporting the genders up to the top. My group just proxy trapped the other 2 spawns to kill the genders quickly, and had 1 player on the crystals and another ranged DPS player roaming and killing mobs (cant have the portal gun as this player needs to DPS the boss). With my group it takes us about 40 min

If you were doing it solo, try bringing a friend. Not only will it be a little easier, but it will be faster since you can dedicate one person to defense and another to matching.
