    Problems when keypad enabled (PS3)

    Hey guys,
I have a problem when I'm playing DD and trying to chat with my friends via a chat room. When I enable my official ps3 keypad, the controls change somehow and forcing me to turn off the keypad. So whenever I want to wright something I've got to turn on the keypad and when finished turn it off again...
Is there a way to change that? Disable the keypad control? In case you didn't know, the keypad can be used as a mouse as its buttons are touch sensitive so when I turn it on, the game's control actually change to mouse controlled.
If anybody knows, please let me know!

When you turn on your key pad your controller still work? and if it still works it just changes the controller settings? If so just when you plug in the key pad go to settings and then controls and make sure everything is in the right place.

Yeah, when I turn on my keypad(wireless), the ps3 controller still work, just the buttons mapping mess up. I'll see if I can do something from the options menu. Although, when I turn it on, a mouse pointer appears in order to control the game like in a PC, so I doubt I can disable that pointer(and the buttons rearrangement).

The reason this is happening is because the PS3 keypad can be used as a mouse, like you mentioned in the OP, and when a mouse is plugged in with DD the game changes the button layout to accommodate the mouse.

The game does not have full keyboard and mouse support on consoles. I do believe it was suggested, but I haven't heard anything since.

Back to point, the keypad is registering in the game as a keyboard AND mouse. A normal USB keyboard works fine and doesn't change the controls because it's not registering as a mouse.

Yep, that's true, but that is my problem. I don't want to use a normal keyboard because it is inconvenient when playing, I want to use this specific keypad and that's why I'm trying to find a solution. But it seems there is no way I can disable its mouse functionality...

Same issue here - I've got a bluetooth keyboard with trackpad, and if that's enabled (for text chat), then I can't switch over to the standard controller. I can't, for the life of me, understand why the devs had the mouse/kb setup as default when the start button on the controller is pressed (in most games, if there's a variety of options, the controller used to press 'start' is usually nominated as the primary controller).

I can turn the kb off, of course, and will for the moment, but for a game focussed around coop being forced to be less social because of a bug limits the experience.
