So what, if anything, is the downside to scamming people? I can only see benefits...
I was buying a cube for 100B a few weeks ago, traded 96B, and on the last trade the guy started asking for more stuff. I said no, that the original deal was for 100B, which is when he kicked me. I was taking screenshots so I reported the player.
Fast forward a few weeks and I still see the guy playing DD, I have not received any stuff back, nor have I received a response from Trendy (site said they wouldn't be contacting me, but still).
From what I can tell there is no downside to scamming people, there are only benefits. You get free stuff, Trendy won't ban you, nor can people call out scammers on the forums so you can continue to scam at will.
Sorry for the rant, but I am just frustrated.

Trust me, I feel your pain. You can't call them out on the forums. However, if you see them active in trades I don't see why you can't pm the other party and let them know.

Always ask for the item first, if he doesn't want to accept the risk, just tell him to bugger off

Unfortunately I don't see him during trades, so warning other people that way does not help. I track him from his profile page. I also see that the guy loves switching his profile name. I think I have seen at least 6 completely unique ones, I've stopped counting.

I would, but that would have required him to trade the cube for 12b, which is a greater risk for him. Someone has to have faith in the other, otherwise you would have two people demanding the other trade first and nothing would be traded.

ive gotten scammed of a simalar amount before 60B so i know that feel but the safest bet is to buy off people on the forums whom u know wont scam you ( id say people who have a decent # of posts personally ) . I also kow buying a cube on the forums for mana let alone 100 B is hard but its safer imo .

I honestly try striking a balance between the money I will lose refusing to trade with a group of people compared to how much I lose getting scammed. I never trust more than I am willing to lose, and I realize to make more profit from more sales I will get scammed from time to time.
