I think title says it, progress may not be saved but please let the game continue.
Sorry if i missed an option that already allows this, should be a default setting then imo.

No, there is no option for this, and I would very much like such a possibility.

Agreed.
I played Borderlands over Steam and every time Steam went down all that happened was that we lost voice chat.
At the very least, let the HOST stay in the game. Why are THEY getting tossed to the menu? Steam is disconnecting them from their own computer?
Or, you find another way to make Survival a little less... how do I put this... "Ha ha! Look at all that time you wasted!" When I play a 2-3 hour Survival round that ends because Steam pitches a fit... man... I don't know how the devs can just ignore the suffering. Between the RNG keeping you from getting good loot and Steam preventing you from finishing a Survival... I don't know how people can get so preachy about others just needing to "put the effort in".

I don't think there is anyone who wouldn't want this feature. Although I suspect they want people to only be able to play online to prevent cheating or other exploits (which is obviously not working, but oh well). At least now you can start survival from any wave, but still, the time I spend building often accounts for 33% of the entire time I spend in survival.
Many people have suggested various valid solutions to this problem, such as a simple autosave/continue system, or layout saving. But I guess Trendy has more pressing balance issues to fix before they get started on code-heavy features such as this.

This definitely needs to be in the game, or at least SOME way of continuing after steam goes down.

Hate losing connection especially on long maps like Karathiki or Talay.

One simple fix, save only at the end of the wave, that way if there is a tiny hiccup in any point in the connection, you don't waste so much time, and in higher waves, it even gives some time for wait for the connection to come back.
Would solve at least 75% of disconnection cases, the remaining ones would be from prolonged, planned or not, steam down times.

Very good idea sir.

Very good idea, the game could even pause, and be unplayable until steam resumes. I really hate losing my progress after spending 30 minutes building survival. Makes the game feel like a complete waste of time.

100% agree. It makes it especially frustrating when trying to learn a new map. A few weeks ago I was trying out Sky City on NMHC survival. I had just spent an hour setting up everything and BOOM trendy disconnected.... It was back up in 2 seconds but I still had to start over.. I sucked it up and started over... Another 45 minutes later, hit G to start after building, and boom Trendy (or might have been Steam) disconnected again! I cried a little inside.
Needless to say, I haven't even attempted the map since. I don't have hours upon hours to simply "waste" when Trendy decides to disconnect for a minute.

I know that quite a few people are frustrated by Steam disconnects, but unfortunately, there's nothing more we can do at the moment.
