Everyone knows this. You repair your tower and have full mana and then there's this 500 mana gem laying arround and is wasted. Because of repairing your tower you lost some mana and the 500 mana gem is pulled towards you and over 450 mana are lost.

Generally attraction to mana gems is lower the higher the value of the mana gem is. My suggestion would be to, in addition to this mechanic, lower the attraction to the mana gem if (mana.value > (player.maxMana - player.currentMana) (some pseudo code, but you know what i mean).

This would reduce the occurences of accidently absorbing mana and wasting it.

I'd prefer the crystal dropping smaller crystals after going over the cap, but anything would be nice, really.

The problem would then still be there, because if you are low on mana you would've big mana crystals. If you then collect mana and nearing max mana, the previously dropped mana crystals would still have their size and thus the problem still is there. There needs to be a system which reacts on your mana (or in other words, it needs to react on each players individual mana amount) to effectively tackle the problem. Another way of solving it would be that the mana that would be wasted is dropped again instead, but i think that's not the way Treny wants to go because then they would've done this from the beginnging.
