Hi, sorry if it's been asked before, but is there any way to keep the key bindings from being reset after every patch? It's even more annoying when you consider the fact you can't re-bind the keys in-game.
Thank you.

I came here to post something similar. It is VERY annoying to have my key bindings reset after patches. Only some patches do it, but given how regular patches are released, it happens often enough to be very irritating.
Seriously, it can't be that hard to save key bindings at the start of a patch, and restore them after the patch is done installing.
Edit: The above applies to other settings as well (ie: patches turning fullscreen mode back on after I've turned it off), not just key bindings.

I thought the same thing but I think I finally realized why it happens. On the last patch when they added summoner controller support my controls got reset. I re applied my backup setting so I didnt have to reconfigure everything again. About an hour or two into gaming I decided to switch to a controller instead of mouse+key. My callout menu wasnt working so I couldnt place towers. I then noticed it wasnt working with mouse+key either (I was placing with hotkeys on keyboard so I didnt notice this earlier). I began to start troubleshooting.
First I re validated my files cause I thought something got corrupted. I again reapplied my backup config file. Still didnt work. I opened up notepad and navigated my config file to see what function controlled it. I couldnt find anything wrong with it. So once again I revalidated and tried it with the default config. It then worked. Perplexed I opened up notepad++ (programmers heaven) and compared the two files. First thing that stood out was that the new one had more lines of configurations. After navigating to the line that controlled the callout menu I noticed the code was different. So amoung the new hooks the added they had to recode some of the old stuff to get it functioning as previous.
So now that I know why they always reset our key configs (new function is added so the old configs wont work properly with the new patches) Im not as irritated anymore about having to reconfig my files all the time. I just took a screen shot (alt+Print screen - two monitors here) of my configs and saved them. Its alot easier to remember what I have mapped where that way.

Please... make a config file that doesn't change during updates for the settings.
