Moving character's in the start up screen.

I have recently just started having more than 4 characters in use during my builds. Unfortunately all the characters that i use are mixed up across the 3 pages of characters that i have.
Does anyone know a way that i can move them into an order that i want??
I heard somewhere that holding alt then clicking on them and moving them would work but i have tried this and it hasnt worked for me. :(
Is this something to do with me playing on a mac?? or just generally wrong??

Any help would be appreciated as i dont want to start fresh with my characters just to get them in the correct order.

I know it has something to do with alt clicking on the pictures. I have done it before but I do not recall the exact process. Alt click on one and alt click another if I recall.

Select one character, hold alt, click the other, release alt.

As I recall, it's slightly more complicated when switching characters across pages. I think you hold alt, select the character, continue to hold alt as you click to the page you want, and then click the character you want to switch with. I think.

Moving from pages seems to be the real problem. I can shuffle them around on each page, but between pages ive no idea. I have managed it though, but only once and i was clicking everything out of frustration and it just moved.
The problem is when you move page, it highlights a different character so when you alt-click, it swaps the one you clicked with the one it defaulted to.

I cant for the life of me understand why the devs havent reduced the size of the character icons, so you can pack them in on 1 screen. It'd make life much easier, i cant count the number of times ive done campaign/challenge maps and the timer is almost done and im in a mad panic to get to the forge, change page and select another character, and ended up flapping about and missing out. Do we really need individual icons roughly 20% of the screen size?? why cant they be smaller, and do say 6x3 spaces. It'd look much cleaner, and be easier to use, especially when theres new characters being added every other month.

This is one of the few places that gamepad RULES.

1) Have the Hero you want to move selected
2) Hold the Alt key
3) Click to the page you want to move your Hero to
4) Click where you want to move it to


A is on Page 2 slot 1
B is on Page 1 slot 4
Highlight A, hold Alt, click the arrow to page 1, click on B in slot 4, the two Heroes have now swapped positions on your roster.

Also, if you want to swap heroes in the same slot (e.g. slot 3 on both page 1 and 2) you'll have to move one of them to a different slot first.
