got to wave 10 by himself but i didn't want to risk it.

Just do it two player one AFK. ;-). Depends what you hate more failing or split screen.

have him be a dps monk until you get a weapon thats good enough without using dps then change to towers

Let's join up heavenly I'm about to level up my monk as well, we can run morrango with 4(two spilt screen) I found a way that doesn't lag you out :-)
