NOTE - It is now completed! DL HERE - http://dungeondefenders.nexusmods.com/mods/34

Hey guys. So lately my friend and I have been getting tired of the stock maps and I have decided to take up a project for me and my friend to both enjoy, however, I feel it would be great to share it with the Trendy forums when it is 100% ready too! Believe it or not, I made this map within two days and am currently testing it. Sundown is a pretty small, but beautiful castle garden. It will offer hectic and fast-pasted game play as well as some refreshing things such as some monsters wearing masks :P . It is pretty challenging I think.

Please know that this is my first experience with the UDK tools and with the game's engine. I am rapidly learning new things everyday and will have more advanced and bigger projects later (I hope). This project has given me some much needed experience.

A little bit about me, since this is my first post here: I have a great modding history, nothing really keeps me busy or content than a session of just making stuff. I have released two custom maps for the popular Call of Duty World At War, one map for Warcraft 3, and a WIP of an Amnesia TDD map. I can add Dungeon Defenders to the list soon.

Anywhoo...

Some of the Features
- Fast Paced Gameplay
- Unique Spawns (such as skeletons, mini-ogres, etc)
- Bright and colorful scenery
- Two Crystals
- 10 Waves of ever-mayhem-increasing goodness!
- Tough Final Wave

As I said, I did the map within two days, but it is not complete yet. I still have to test to the bone and implement survival mode and nightmare mode. I do not own Nightmare, so I cannot fully accommodate it. You can also expect a release sometime soon ;) . My personal favorite part of the map is how bright and happy it feels.

Oh, and it is a fair map; no excessive mana gives or incredible weapons here.
Looking forward to making more stuffs and having fun here <3 !

Downloading it now to try it
Will be back with results after ^-^

EDIT:
Tried playing it with a friend and each time we tried to launch it (I downloaded from DunDef Nexus and he downloaded from Mediafire) and it resulted with a crash. We then tried launching the game by ourselves in local with the same problem. Each time it crashes DunDefGame.exe

Plasma, your map seems to crash the EXE with some kind of texture lookup crash. Have you created or modified any custom textures for your map, and can you possibly upload the source packages for us to try out so that we can see if we can reproduce it by cooking the map here?

Fixed! Plasma if you update to the latest DDDK on Steam and recook your map, now everyone will be able to play it. There was a bug where if you cooked your map when running the game at low texture settings, players with higher texture settings would crash on it. Resolved by recooking your map with the latest DDDK now on the SVN.

Very cute map by the way, I played it by setting my texture settings low like yours are. Looks great and fun tight-in layout. If you recook with the latest DDDK (7.30), then everyone will be able to play it :D

A few people have complained of crashing on the maps I've posted- But I have the game set to high textures. Any chance this is related?

It's possible, try recooking with the latest DDDK and see if you get any more such reports :)

I'm confused, I thought I was running high-res textures o.0.

But, really the help was greatly appreciated, I did what you said and I hope it works now.

Yes, it works flawlessly now! (you should probably submit that new version to the Nexus :D )

Great map, keep it up :)
