What is the best DPS pet for NM? I know robots can atk really quickly and have pierce. Monkey's I heard can do some massive damage and heal you. Cupids do massive damage and heal you. Djinnlets deal good damage and give you mana. Not sure about other pets (like donkey), but between these (or anything else), what is the best DPS pet? Which pet generally does the most damage?

Anyone?
I would have to say the new pets, the Dijinlet pet and the companion cube are on top because they can attack and give you mana.
The cube pet is easier to get for someone like me who has poor gear but if you are in high end gear you can do City survival up to 15 to get the other pet.

I'm currently just using an insane djinnlet, and it work wonders. It's basically an unlimited mana supply, so if I need to heal, I always have that choice. Better to be able to upgrade everything to 3 stars and always have an option to heal if needed, than just to heal but have my towers at one star two waves later. Plus, being able to pierce and go through walls has made it my pet of choice on NM.

Boost monk + Dijinnlet = best combo. well, cube too obviously isn't bad.
A good dijinnlet pet boosted will hit for 1 million per attack~ The projectiles pierce. You can seriously wipe the floor with some stuff.

Monkey and Cupid are the best DPS pets. Alternative can be laserbot.
Djinnlets and Cubes are also awesome but not near in dps to pets I mentioned and mana giving is more of a early waves building supplement, then everyone I know changes to real dps pets.

Hmm would this http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198061334623/screenshot/596968154249743739 pet be any good (for a pure dps character) then?
I have al my builders levelled (or at least at 74) so I'm going to make a dps character next.

Machiavell,
For a barb, is cupid better than laserbot? If so, what makes it better?
In terms of pure DPS which outputs more damage?
I would test it myself but cupids are expensive...and would want to know before spending money on one.

Monk plus djins work because the monk is always using mana. boosting towers or players. the mana per attack lets them boost for a very very long time. While boosting over that long duration, the djin pet can also deliver huge damage. 225k per projectile X4 probably more if you had a 250^ one.
i bet that boost monk plus dijn pet works out better then any other combo. surely there are pets that produce more damage output alone. but none that can keep monks boosting longer.
monks will be getting more and more popular so it is an important note. I had my builder out and my monk. boosted my builder to see harpoons hitting for well over 300,000 damage a pop.

How much hero/tower boost to add that much damage?

Isn't it awesome, I didn't get the harpoon screenshot, but this is with the Builder out, EV boosted, an app guardian and Monk boost.

If you swap between hero boost and tower boost cooldowns you will always have enough mana. That's why I always recommend the high damage pets, like monkeys which crush the dps potential of djinn, mega chickens which are like 250^ monkeys, and griffons or dragons which use splash damage instead of piercing.
One of the other reasons why I wouldn't recommend a djinnlet is because half of their damage is poison. A major reason why I switched from using a serpent to using a dragon or griffon is because poison immune wyverns stand the best chance of reaching the crystal, and you'll want to use a pet that will eliminate them in case of tower malfunction (these days).

Well in later waves I keep my builder out. I wouldn't keep an afk monk out because of the extra mobs. My builder is a hybrid thanks to my new beast sword. I was looking for a pet that could do some extra dps to help out with spiders or dews that make it over my walls. The cupid/monkey healing me is a huge bonus. Just wasn't sure how they stacked with the robot, since he attacks fast and can pierce. Right now I have a robot and was wondering if it was worth farming a monkey.

Yeah i usually don't swap on CD. thats too short. Mine stays going for quite a while. i often run around the zone killing ogres and genies before turning off boost.

What do you mean by CD?

CD is universal for cooldown or recast timer

Are the Djinnlets ranged? One thing I don't like about the cube is they don't attack from all that far away because of being melee. Also, how much mana are you talking about for the Djinnlet? Even if they don't do all that much DPS, are they close to as much mana as a genie pet?
At the moment I like using monkeys because of their huge range and the heal.

After seeing this thread, I decided to spend 150m buying a Djinnlet and throw it on my booster monk. Even though the Djinnlet itself isn't too powerful, I can really see where it can get!
Loving the combo.

Currently running a Griffin, sure its ele but the splash is really nice, and if you are still at the stage where active build bonus means you are active on a squire a ranged pet can make clear jams alot less dangerous. Havent got a nice Djinlet yet, nor is my monk robust enough atm to have out.

Well now that my tower squire can dish out the DPS, I see no reason to put him away. He does 3.1m damage to the tavern dummy w/ rage, and just below 1m w/out. He still pales in comparison to my DPS Squire (does 4.8m w/ boost, can't remember how much w/out). But the bonus from an app/hunt guard isn't significant compared to my EV boost, so I figured DPS pet would help me out more. It isn't Ogre's or anything that hold me back at this point. It's mostly spiders that manage to web my harpoons, or mobs that get stuck and eat up tons of time to despawn. That's why I decided to look for a good DPS pet for my squire (w/ hybrid stats preferred).
