Where to get good guardian?

Need advice on where to get a good Hunter or Apprentice guardian. Is there a certain mission or gamemode that gets you a good guardian?
Note: I don't want to buy from shop

To the best of my knowledge, the only way to get a truly decent guardian is from the tavern shopkeeper after a sucessful NM run.

The only other way to get a guardian is from completing Easy-Hard mode Summit runs (insane-NM runs grant Animus pets instead) and the guardians from those tend to be rather *Meh* in quality.

completing OMF may award you with a pet, i've gotten guardians from it with 100+ in hero or tower stats and 200+ upgrades. there is a chance at the pet being transcendent as well

Ugh that kinda sucks. Guess I'll have to keep waiting until a good guardian shows up at my Tavern :l Thanks guys!

Trendy should make The Sumit only give out Guardian pets and move the Animus pets to Glitterhelm, this way when you need a really good guard pet you know where to get one.

I would agree with that idea. Either that or just make it so that there is a 50/50 chance of getting either a guardian or animus from completing the Summit on any degree of difficulty.

oh yes would rather guards from summit i already have enough heroic damage pets from other sources

there is cap on the statss in the tavern ones. I bought a 196 boast and 146 range for 200 mil and after i bought it, both stats went down .... boast is now 1 and range is now 146 ...... also those numbers stuck even after upgrading them.
