Just a quick question... when running certain maps on Survival in order to get pet rewards, do the various difficulty settings affect the quality of pet? For instance, if I run a map with Hardcore + Mix Mode, will the pet quality also receive the quality boost that loot gets?

Same question holds for Pure Strategy. Is the quality of pet lower than regular survival or HC/MM options?

I believe that harder options increase the potential, but it's still random. I recently beat wave 14 of Royal Gardens, HC NM MM. The pet was only Mythical, with < 100^ :(

I Just recently beat the newest map "City of Cliffs" on insane hardcore just to see how to set it up and what it was like. I got a pet you had to be lvl 78 for and it has better stats than a robot from wave 14 alche labs i was on Hc MM. not sure if this helps but might allow you similar results. the new pet had 208 upgrades all 4 stats 200+ and more tower damage than my robot by 20...not upgraded at all.
Hope this helps

Okay, so I've been running a lot of Magus for the Serpent pet. On NM I'm typically finding low to mid 100^ pets. With Hardcore on, that jumps to 170+, sometimes just breaking 200. With HC+MM on 4 attempts I've only gotten a pet under 200^ once (189) and have gotten one as high as 260. The highest I've received on NMHC is 220, most are in the 170-200 range. The NM+HC+MM pets also often have +200 or more to most stats, compared to mid 100's for the HC.

So from a (very) small sample size, it appears that both settings may possible have an effect on pet quality.
